Job summary
Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to support district estimating, field operations, and office engineering across geotechnical foundation projects in North America.
Ideal candidates are pursuing civil, mining, mechanical, geotechnical engineering, or construction management degrees and welcome hands-on field experience. These roles involve quantity takeoffs, time studies, cost estimating, and collaboration with project teams in an energetic, safety-focused
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field of engineering (civil/mining/geotechnical/construction management).
- Previous construction or mining experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel and relocate.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team.
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
- Perform quantity calculations from measurements and completed work percentages.
- Prepare work plans and work packages for field operations.
- Support field surveying, layout, and as-built data collection.
- Assist in cost tracking, daily labor timesheets, and JHA preparation.
- Support underground tunneling and construction operations.
