Job summary

Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to lead HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing service operations across multiple sites under the supervision of a Project Manager.

The role emphasizes field quality control, production tracking, and ensuring adherence to contract documents. You will collaborate with safety, purchasing, BIM, and other support teams while coordinating with vendors on pricing and availability.

Qualifications

• Requires strong leadership, supervision, and team motivation.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of codes and regulations relevant to field work.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC, Refrigeration, and Plumbing service ops across locations with coaching and feedback.
• Process and track submittals, material takeoffs, equipment, and deliveries.
• Coordinate with vendors on pricing, performance, reliability, and availability.
• Attend project meetings as assigned.
• Assist with change orders, pricing, and quality control plans.
• Conduct field inspections and document quality control.
• Ensure BIM and field teams use current contract documents.
• Collaborate with safety, purchasing, BIM, and other support teams.
• Track production rates and compare to budget.
• Assist with equipment startup and checkout.
• Support project closeout, as-builts, testing, flushing, and documentation.
• Monitor subcontractor progress and quality.
• Manage punch list completion and sign-off.
• Resolve customer concerns efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Other duties as assigned
