Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Field Engineer to install, maintain, and repair technical equipment at client sites in Texas. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, independence in the field, and professional representation of the company.

You will work with low and medium voltage systems, perform FAT, instrument verification, PLC programming (Allen Bradley and Siemens), and support on-site commissioning for data centers and power distribution units, with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and analytical skills with hands-on problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently to job sites.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and field operation procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• FAT: Perform electrical testing on low/medium voltage switchgear; IR/Hi-Pot testing; insulation resistance; contact resistance checks.
• Instrumentation verification: Validate instrument loop checks for temperature, pressure, and flow systems.
• PLC automation: Design, program, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC-based systems for power distribution and control.
• Commissioning support: Provide on-site commissioning for data centers PDUs and related systems.
• Field support & travel: Travel to client sites to support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Automation projects: Contribute to integration of automation and control across multiple sites.
• Electrical design: Develop electrical drawings and documentation for power distribution units.
