Job summary

Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel Co. is seeking a civil construction manager to lead projects along inland waterways, including Mississippi River work. You will oversee engineering/layout, crews, and assets while driving safety practices and on-site leadership.

The role requires five years of civil construction management experience, ability to read contracts, and strong coordination of schedules, QA, and team development. On-site position with extensive travel.

Qualifications

• Five years of civil construction management experience is required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents including contracts and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable with scheduling, supervision, and quality control on civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects, including engineering/layout, personnel leadership, and asset management.
• Coordinate mobilization of crew, equipment and materials.
• Ensure compliance with the safety culture and policies on site.
• Maintain daily reports and required written communications.
• Conduct performance evaluations of crew personnel.
• Provide leadership to develop safety culture on the project site.
• Coach, mentor and train team members; support learning and development.
