Job summary

Massman Construction Co. is seeking an experienced on-site Construction Engineer to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage complex bridge and heavy civil projects across the United States.

The role emphasizes safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery while adhering to contract requirements. You will review work plans, resolve technical issues, approve shop drawings and safety plans, and lead field teams to ensure quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4+ years in heavy civil and/or marine construction preferred.
• Experience reviewing work plans, shop drawings, and safety plans; strong leadership in field environments.
• Ability to manage on-site engineering activities and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Be an Incident and Injury Free Leader and oversee on-site construction engineering activities.
• Inspect project sites, monitor progress, and ensure conformance to design specs and safety standards.
• Review project specifications for quality assurance and cost/quantity estimation; maintain daily records.
