Job summary

Pine Bluff Sand and Gravel is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to manage construction projects in Louisiana and surrounding states. You will lead engineering and layout, supervise crews, and oversee assets including vessels, barges and equipment.

The role requires strong safety leadership, ability to read plans, schedule and supervise, with willingness to travel and stay away for consecutive weeks. A civil/engineering degree is preferred; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction management or related field.
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management preferred; experience may substitute.
• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting contracts and technical specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects including engineering and layout and leadership of personnel.
• Coordinate mobilization of crew, equipment and materials.
• Oversee assets including vessels, barges and equipment.
• Ensure familiarity with project plans and specifications.
• Promote job site safety and rectify hazards.
• Ensure adherence to PBSGC safety culture by all staff.
• Prepare daily reports and other required written communications.
• Perform performance evaluations of crew personnel.
• Provide leadership to develop safety culture on site.
• Coach, mentor, and train team members.
• Support learning and development of team members.
