Job summary

GBA Builders in Lenexa, KS seeks a Field Engineer to support field operations across the United States. You will assist the Superintendent, coordinate daily construction activities, promote safety, and maintain project documentation to ensure project success.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, 1–4 years of experience, OSHA 30-hour certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering with 1–4 years of relevant experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions and team dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to GBA's Health and Safety Program.
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety reviews, and training initiatives.
• Support the supervision and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
• Order materials and schedule deliveries to align with project schedules.
• Prepare detailed work plans and work packages.
• Assist with quality assurance, equipment scheduling, and interpretation of project drawings and specifications.
• Verify quantity calculations and support field surveying and layout activities.
• Compile and process labor timesheets while maintaining accurate project records.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and support additional project needs as assigned by project leadership.
• Travel to and from job sites as needed to support field operations.
