Job summary

Orion Marine Group in Honolulu, HI seeks a Project Engineer to plan, direct, and coordinate activities on designated construction projects. You will support Project Managers, manage shop drawings, update logs, and monitor schedule and budget while working with field teams.

The role requires at least 1 year of construction-related experience, a BS in Construction Management, strong communication, leadership, and proficiency with MS Office and PlanGrid.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 1 year of construction-related experience.
• Knowledge of Project Engineer functions.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and PlanGrid.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre-job planning and budgeting.
• Assist Project Manager(s) in the management of all assigned jobs.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for accuracy.
• Distribute drawing revisions to stakeholders and request new shop drawings as needed.
• Prices revisions and field changes; update logs accordingly.
• Maintain RCO and PM Submittal logs.
• Track hours and job costs weekly.
• Prepare End of Month Financial Reports.
• Coordinate project activities with government agencies.
• Ensure safety compliance and stop work if unsafe.
