Job summary

FlatironDragados is inviting student interns to join the Summer 2027 program in Washington. Interns will work on-site to support field engineers, project managers, and on-site staff, applying engineering principles to real-world construction projects.

You will gain hands-on experience in field conditions evaluation, QA/QC testing, survey usage, and coordination of design changes while being mentored by project professionals and adhering to corporate policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a currently enrolled student in an accredited Engineering, Construction Management, or similar program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support QA/QC engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge for project layout and checking conformance with plans and specs.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control assistance for correspondence and submittals.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for operation efficiency.
• Assist with preparing and updating project schedule and coordination with scheduling decisions.
• Respond to field for design clarification and manage subcontractors’ field operations and payments.
• Provide design assistance for temporary structures using CAD tools.
