Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer 2 to support routine construction activities and staff a working foreman on site. You will help ensure tasks are performed efficiently while upholding safety and company standards.

This role sits in the Advanced Facilities Group and collaborates with foremen, superintendents, and subcontractors on data center, industrial & manufacturing projects across the region. Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2+ years of construction experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program, depending upon location (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 2+ years construction experience (Required).
• 0-2 years construction supervision experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Lears and participates in safety culture with mentoring others.
• Works with tools and executes self-perform work as part of a crew.
• Builds relationships with trades people and project team members.
• Plans, executes and reports self-perform work.
• Pre-plans crew activities and look ahead schedule updates.
• Supports planning meetings and lean construction practices.
