Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Field Engineer II for a fully traveling role, onsite at various project sites. The position reports to the Field Project Manager and requires modular construction experience and a strong focus on documentation control.

You will manage RFIs, submittals, and progress reports, coordinate material delivery and installation, and support change orders while ensuring safety and quality standards on site. Travel is 100%, with benefits including healthcare and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant construction or field experience.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with project documentation and scheduling software.
• Familiarity with permitting, inspections, and AHJ requirements.
• Willingness to travel and work 100% onsite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, or a related field.
• OSHA 30 and a relevant safety credential (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Document Control: manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, meeting minutes, and distribution.
• Site Operations and Scheduling: track materials, update schedules, coordinate installations, and closeout docs.
• Financial Support: review reports, draft purchase orders, assist with change orders.
• Subcontractor Coordination, Quality, and Safety: monitor compliance and onboarding, track quality issues and train juniors.
