Job summary

Ies Co is seeking a Field Engineer I - Structured Cabling to lead field installations, document QA, and drive closeout activities across copper, fiber, and network infrastructure. You will verify installations align with design, test requirements, and customer expectations, while keeping accurate project records from kickoff to turnover.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of commercial structured cabling experience.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead documentation and testing efforts across the project lifecycle (submittals, redlines, RFIs, warranties, closeout).
• Verify copper, fiber, network installations meet design/specs and are accurately reflected in records.
• Review shop drawings, coordinate with engineering/QA, manage documentation control and turnover packages.
• Support BIM360 updates, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
