Job summary

IES is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to support ongoing projects and drive start-up and close-out processes. You will work with site engineers to deliver consistent results, build submittals, prepare cable schedules, and manage RFIs while ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality controls.

Travel within branch/ regional territories is required; strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills are essential for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of commercial low voltage/structured cabling experience.
• Experience with Bluebeam software and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate site teams.

Responsibilities

• Build the initial product submittal based on drawings for new projects.
• Create preliminary cable schedules and open RFIs.
• Lead engineering pre-planning with site resources and train teams.
• Conduct kick-off meetings covering drawings, RFIs, schedules, and submittals.
• Monitor RFIs and submittals; ensure SOPs and quality control.
• Support project close-out and knowledge sharing across teams.
