Job summary

IES Communications, LLC is seeking a Field Engineer II - Structured Cabling to install and operate low-voltage cabling systems across multiple project sites. The role includes troubleshooting, field verification, and coordinating with project managers to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

You will work with in-house and field teams, review project drawings, and provide detailed narratives to assist estimating in proposals, while maintaining safety and compliance in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4-6 years' commercial low voltage/structured cabling experience.
• Able to work well with others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Must meet company driving standards and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to define a project scope and manage tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

• Install and operate low-voltage/structured cabling systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support role.
• Review advanced drawings, specifications, and manuals; create shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate site walks and coordinate with subcontractors and field staff.
• Provide advanced field support for installation staff and project closeouts.
• Assist Estimating with scope narratives and bid information.
