Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a Field Engineer I to oversee and execute project controls for a single discipline. The role supports a Craft Superintendent, collects quantities, schedules, and manages procurement, planning, and reporting on the jobsite.

Interface with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and management is essential for status updates and successful project delivery. The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in civil engineering or related field with 0–3 years of

Qualifications

• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
• Active participation in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
• Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Supports a crew of up to 30 people for short periods if needed.
• Learn and implement financial principles to quantify costs and benefits of projects, and to track against budgets.
• Represent MIC in professional client interactions.
• Assist in providing client with contract reports (weekly, monthly, schedule).
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations.
• Assist in preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts.
