Job summary

MasTec Industrial seeks a Field Engineer II to oversee and execute project controls for the Piping discipline. The role interfaces with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, and project management to report status and manage procurement, scheduling, and planning.

The position requires interfacing with multiple stakeholders, managing labor reports, and ensuring safety plans are followed on site. Travel to project sites across the US is routine, with 8–18 month assignments and per diem

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a Field Engineer or similar role.
• Willing to travel extensively and relocate to project locations (6–12 months).

Responsibilities

• Represent professionally in all client interaction activities.
• Provide contract required reports (weekly, monthly, schedule).
• Understand and follow safety plans and site-specific safety requirements.
• Perform quantity calculations and material takeoffs.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite.
• Manage project records, correspondence, and submittals.
