Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Field Engineer I for an on-site role in Patagonia, AZ. You will assist the Project Engineer, manage drawings, submittals, change orders, and meetings, while supporting budgeting and cost control.

The position offers a clear progression (I, II, Senior) and emphasis on safety and collaboration with owners, designers and subcontractors. You will develop understanding of PMP, change management, QA/QC, and LEED documentation, contributing to successful project delivery

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility and communicate with others.
• Entry-level position requiring a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent field experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and submittals.
• Support project management plan and change management processes; assist in budgeting and cost control.
• Ensure quality management and safety culture on the project.
• Help calculate daily production rates and participate in risk management.
• May coordinate BIM between subcontractors and designers.
• Assist with LEED documentation and Digital Record Drawings (ORD).
• Provide lines, grades and layout as required and maintain logs.
• Prepare weekly quantity logs and assist in budgeting and cost control.
• Provide support to superintendents and resolve field problems.
