Job summary

Great Basin Industrial is seeking a Field Engineer to join our structural, mechanical, and piping team in Santa Teresa, NM. This on-site role focuses on managing field operations and delivering industrial construction projects.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, performing quantity calculations, supporting work plans, assisting in RFIs and safety tasks, and coordinating material deliveries. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking and problem solving are essential.
• Attention to detail and meeting deadlines is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication is needed.
• Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screenings.
• Leadership qualities and willingness to travel short or long term.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and measure installed work.
• Support development of work plans and packages.
• Assist in daily timesheet processing and RFIs.
• Help prepare Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Lead safety reviews and toolbox talks on site.
• Order and schedule material deliveries; coordinate crews.
• Plan and supervise field operations on the jobsite.
