Job summary

HNTB is seeking an intern to assist in engineering inspection and documentation for major infrastructure projects. You will support field tasks, observe material testing, and help prepare reports and drawings under supervision.

Ideal candidates are current/former HNTB interns, with a Bachelor’s in Engineering and ability to read drawings. This is a full-time on-site role across multiple Florida locations, including Bartow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Internship candidates preferred (current/former HNTB interns).
• Strong reading and interpretation of plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist construction field work on a project to ensure conformance to plans and specs.
• Observe on-site material testing and coordinate testing and monitoring services.
• Read and interpret drawings, identify discrepancies, and assist in resolving issues.
• Review daily contractor reports and document progress with reports and marks.
• Assist Resident Engineer with progress coordination and communication.
