Job summary

IES Communications in the United States is seeking a Field Engineer to support end-to-end project execution for electrical, mechanical and communications infrastructure. You will manage field tasks, verify measurements, coordinate with installation teams, and ensure documentation aligns with project plans.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, teamwork, and travel within the regional area as needed. A high school diploma is required, with 3–4 years of low-voltage experience preferred and strong

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team to develop and implement project processes.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with existing equipment and new installs.
• Willing to travel within branch or regional territory as required.
• Proficient with MS Office and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Close-out: redlines, test audits, warranties, and submittals.
• Build-out: verify measurements, equipment placements, grounding and bonding.
• Fiber and copper scope verification and documentation.
• Network: configure details and execute redlines as needed.
• RFI references on redlines before QA review.
• Test audits and ensure tests match prints; manage re-tests.
• Maintain labels and field documentation; support BIM360 submissions.
• Update lessons learned and finalize project templates.
