Job summary

Sundt Construction in Arizona is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer Assistant to support the project team as a technical information source. You will respond to questions on drawings, specs, shop drawings, and change orders, while helping with submittals, RFl's, meeting minutes, and coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The role features three advancement steps (I, II and Senior) with progression of skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others is essential.
• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks and assists with or reviews and processes submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting.
• Maintains meeting agendas, RFl's and daily reports distribution, storage, retrieval and disposition.
• Supports project management plan execution and change management processes.
• Participates in risk management and cost control activities to help complete the project within budget.
• May coordinate BIM between subcontractors and designers and support LEED documentation as needed.
• Provides rounds of lines, grades and layout as required and maintains organized logs.
• Supports superintendents in executing the work and resolves field problems as necessary.
