Job summary

Sundt Construction in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer assistant to provide technical information for the project and support drawings, submittals, and change orders. This role includes developing as-built drawings, RFl's, meeting minutes, and budget forecasting, with progression through Step I, II, and Senior steps.

You will work with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers while learning to manage change, quality, and safety on a construction site.

Qualifications

• Ability to assume responsibility and communicate with others is essential.
• Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks and assists with or reviews and processes submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting.
• Demonstrates understanding of the project management plan and supports execution of the plan.
• Ensures administration of the project quality management plan and reinforces safety culture on the project.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work and participate in risk management.
• May oversee BIM Coordination between Subcontractors and Designers.
• May be responsible for LEED Certification documentation and updating ORD drawings.
• Provides weekly quantity logs and supports budgeting and cost control to complete the project within budget.
• Provides support to superintendents for execution of work and resolves field problems.
