Job summary

Luster National seeks Field Engineers of various skill levels to support large, complex heavy civil infrastructure programs (highways, bridges, transit, airports, water). You will help field operations, ensure technical accuracy, and enforce safety standards across traditional and alternative delivery methods.

Responsibilities include monitoring construction, preparing field reports, coordinating with subs, and supporting schedules and QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in field engineering on large heavy-civil projects.
• Knowledge of drawings, specs, submittals and RFIs.
• Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans.
• Proficiency with Procore, e-Builder, Aconex or similar.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with plans and safety.
• Prepare and maintain field reports, logs, and documentation.
• Support development of work plans and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Participate in quality control inspections and testing documentation.
• Track installed quantities for progress billing and cost tracking.
• Support safety initiatives and field safety culture.
• Resolve field issues with design, quality, and construction teams.
• Prepare responses to RFIs and align with design baselines.
• Assist with project close-out, punch lists, and as-built records.
