Job summary

Luster National, Inc. is seeking Field Engineers to support large heavy civil programs across highways, bridges, transit, airports, and water projects in New Jersey. You will monitor field activities, ensure technical accuracy, and maintain compliance with specs and safety standards.

This role supports multiple project delivery methods; responsibilities include documentation, coordination, and quality control to ensure successful project execution and timely progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in civil/construction field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in field engineering on large infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of design-bid-build and alternative delivery methods.
• Familiarity with project docs, RFIs and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with plans and safety.
• Prepare field reports, logs, and measure progress and site conditions.
• Support work plans, look-ahead schedules, and coordination.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Participate in quality control, inspections and testing docs.
• Track quantities for progress billing and cost tracking.
• Support safety programs and toolbox talks on site.
• Resolve field issues with design and quality teams.
• Prepare responses to RFIs and document communication.
• Assist in close-out activities and turnover docs.
