Job summary

Arcadis in New York seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer to support field supervision, compliance, documentation, quality assurance, and coordination to ensure successful delivery of the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project.

You will work within a high‑performing team delivering a two‑track tunnel under the Hudson River, serving Amtrak and NJ TRANSIT, with emphasis on safety, regulatory adherence, and quality management throughout construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction management, field engineering, or inspection on large infrastructure projects.
• Experience with safety, QA, and environmental compliance.
• Familiarity with project controls and document control processes.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field supervision and construction oversight.
• Ensure compliance with management plans, safety protocols, and project requirements.
• Monitor and document daily construction activities including safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Assist with precondition surveys, mitigation planning, and punch-list resolution.
• Support development and implementation of environmental monitoring and compliance programs.
