Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking an Assistant Engineer to Associate Engineer II within the Technical and Environmental Services (TES) Group at the BWI Marshall Airport Field. You will provide technical engineering analyses for stormwater management and regulatory compliance, and develop construction documents and reports.

This 24/7 essential facility requires working nights, weekends, holidays, and adverse weather.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Geotechnical, Electrical or other engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to obtain UST and AST Inspector certifications within 18 months of hire.
• Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, vendors and the public, both orally as well as in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering analyses related to stormwater management and regulatory compliance.
• Develop construction documents and perform basic engineering calculations.
• Prepare written technical reports and correspondence.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and during adverse weather conditions as part of a 24/7 essential facility.
