Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a Lead Mechanic to join the Technical and Environmental Services Group at the Maintenance Field Office located at the Dorsey Run Wastewater Treatment Plant. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment used for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects at MES facilities statewide, including BWI and Martin State Airports.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and seven years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment.
Formal training from a vocational school may substitute for up to three years of required experience.
Ability to obtain a Homeland Security Clearance.
Confined space entry and lifting up to 50 pounds required.
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects at MES facilities statewide.
Work as part of the Maintenance Field Office at the Dorsey Run plant; nights, weekends, holidays, and adverse weather may be required due to 24/7 emergency operations.
