Harder Mechanical Contractors is seeking a Field Engineer to support planning, scheduling, and execution of project scopes across our Commercial, Advanced Technology, and Industrial markets. This entry-level role provides a gateway to a project management career within Harder.

You will coordinate with field crews, review drawings, monitor progress, and maintain project records. Strong communication, organization, and a willingness to travel are essential, along with a valid driver's license and

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; intermediate Excel.
• Ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of people including suppliers, field crews, designers, and owners.
• Self-starter with initiative; organized and productive.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Relentless commitment to teamwork and client satisfaction.
• Interest in LEAN construction principles.
• Ability to travel to other regions to gain exposure to additional markets and industries.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute a defined project scope.
• Coordinate with field labor to meet safety, schedule, and quality standards.
• Review drawings and compile project scope and quantities.
• Resolve issues with design engineers, owner representatives, and team members.
• Monitor field construction and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare and monitor work packages, including labor and cost estimates.
• Track construction progress and update status weekly.
• Organize project records in an effective document control system.
• Estimate future work.
• Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.
