BSNC seeks a Field Engineer in Hanover, MD to support field operations on federal construction projects. You will assist the Superintendent with planning, coordination of multiple trades, and safety compliance, while maintaining daily records and progress tracking. Proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam is expected, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, construction/management adjacent fields.
• 1–2 years full-time experience preferred or internship.
• Valid Driver’s license and U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain security access.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with daily work planning and subcontractor coordination.
• Review work areas with foremen to confirm access, readiness and materials.
• Coordinate multiple trades and report constraints to avoid schedule impact.
• Support site logistics including delivery routes, staging, and protection of completed work.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings and guide discussions under supervision.
• Plan activities around occupied facilities and owner operations.
• Develop and update short-term look-ahead schedules and trade sequences.
• Track quantities, manpower, equipment, and daily production.
• Verify dimensions and report discrepancies with project documents.
• Maintain daily reports, field sketches, and as-built information.
• Coordinate RFIs and submittals with Project Engineer/Manager.
• Assist with punch lists, turnover inspections, and closeout records.
• Follow safety plans and promote good site practices.
• Develop knowledge of construction methods and coordination between trades.
• Potentially advance to broader responsibilities under supervision.
