Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Construction Coordinator/Field Engineer to support planning, execution, and field coordination of power generation projects. You will bridge construction, engineering, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant field work.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, tracking RFIs, coordinating with discipline leads, and contributing to look-ahead schedules, quality plans, and turnover documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; construction experience may substitute
• 4+ years in construction, field engineering, project coordination, or construction management
• Experience on large industrial, energy, EPC, or heavy construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to travel nationwide to project sites

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily construction activities between field teams, subcontractors, engineering and management
• Assist in planning and sequencing work to meet milestones
• Monitor progress and assess impacts to schedule, productivity, quality and safety
• Facilitate communication between engineering and construction to resolve field issues
• Track RFIs, submittals and field change documentation
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability and field execution
• Support implementation of engineering changes and ensure field documentation is current
• Assist with problem resolution involving construction methods, materials and installation
• Verify work complies with project specs and codes
• Coordinate with engineers to address technical questions from the field
• Assist with short- and long-term look-ahead planning
• Monitor labor productivity and progress against schedules
• Prepare daily reports and progress updates
• Participate in progress meetings with clients and contractors
• Support project quality plans and inspection requirements
• Coordinate inspections, testing, turnover documentation, and punch-list activities
• Ensure safety plans and site safety requirements are followed
• Promote safety culture and OSHA compliance
