Job summary

NV2A Group in Miami, FL seeks an Engineer to provide technical engineering information to Project Manager, Craft Supervisors, and corporate managers, ensuring design development and construction meet standards. The role also supports project controls (cost, scheduling, estimating) and oversees subcontractors.

Primary duties include interpreting drawings, planning work packages for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process systems, and assisting in QA/QC; collaboration with field

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• 1–2 years of construction experience.
• Prior experience with MEP projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand technical drawings and specifications for industrial construction; interpret design/drawings for crafts; prepare field design change requisitions and as-built drawings.
• Comprehend subcontract language, scope, terms and technical requirements.
• Plan and develop construction work packages for civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and process plant systems.
• Understand detailed project schedules including required predecessors and successors to each activity.
• Understand QA/QC duties and follow the Lemartec Field Engineering Handbook.
• Coordinate communications in writing and speaking; ensure clear technical communications.
• Manage and coordinate material and human resources.
• Support the Construction Manager in analyzing and reporting daily progress of subcontractors.
• Assist subcontractors to adhere to schedule and contract terms.
• Facilitate technical approvals and expedite design development according to schedule.
• Coordinate craft production and release work to meet subcontract and project schedules.
• Propose modifications to engineering design and interpreting drawings for subcontractors.
• Support Project Controls in cost, scheduling and estimating/re-estimating.
• Prepare and disseminate QA/QC reports, punch lists, and material calculations.
• Adhere to the Lemartec Handbook and Safety policies.
