Peak Energy in Burlingame, CA (preferred) is hiring a Sales Engineer to own the technical side from first contact through contract. You will work with customers to define fit for Peak’s battery systems, build the business case, lead preliminary design discussions, and negotiate technical scope, schedule, and performance terms for execution.

You’ll collaborate with Sales, Project Engineering, PM, Finance, and internal cell/ESS teams to move opportunities through the sales cycle and deliver

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in engineering for battery or renewable energy projects.
• Experience with utility-scale power projects.
• Understanding of engineering, construction, and permitting/code concepts.
• Experience reviewing technical scopes of work and contract negotiation.
• Able to manage multiple projects in parallel.
• Excellent written and oral communication with various stakeholders.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.

Aufgaben

• Size and configure Peak’s battery systems to the customer’s use case and build models.
• Develop understanding of Peak’s energy storage tech and provide technical/financial modeling support.
• Lead discussions with customers and internal teams on preliminary design.
• Negotiate technical contracts (scope, schedule, performance) for sales/services.
• Interface with Sales, Product Management, Project Engineering, PM, and external parties.
• Build understanding of regional energy markets and customer needs.
• Define functional requirements for market entry planning and product roadmap.
• Maintain technical sales tools and support materials.
