Job summary

Guidewheel is seeking a Field Engineer to lead customer implementations on-site and remotely, installing and configuring hardware in live industrial environments so plants go live quickly. You will work with a TAM to scope engagements and ensure safe, high‑quality installations.

This hands‑on role requires electrical panel assessment, device wiring, site connectivity verification, and detailed documentation with photos and reports.

Qualifications

• Trades experience. Electrical, industrial installation, controls, or a related skilled trade.
• Electrical safety fundamentals. Working knowledge of safe practice. Certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.
• Tool fluency. Multimeter, clamp meter, drill, torque tools, and label printer.
• Clear photographs and accurate notes matter for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer installations end to end, on-site and remotely, per the published implementation schedule.
• Assess electrical panel safety on arrival and coordinate with the customer's electrician.
• Install, wire, and configure monitoring hardware to Guidewheel standards.
• Establish and validate site connectivity and ensure data flows to the platform.
• Capture machine information and document work with photos and reports.
• Log time on site and hand off punch lists to TAM.
• Troubleshoot hardware with TAM and perform follow-up site visits as needed.
