Job description

Job Title: Field Engineer

Insight Global is seeking to hire Field Engineers to support an Air Traffic Control Voice Communication, Information, and Network Solutions program under the FAA. This individual will be providing technical support and field services in integrating, testing, modifying, and repairing the Voice switching and Networking product line. Responsibilities include:

1. Hands-on integration of software and hardware components including software installation and configuration, network configuration, and telecommunications hardware integration.
2. Implementing IT system solutions for networking, computing, and proprietary communications equipment, including conceptual, functional, and physical views.
3. Conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements according to customer specifications.
4. Conducting site surveys at customer locations to identify requirements for production and installation.
5. Preparing deliverable documentation describing site requirements and system configuration.
6. Installing, servicing, and performing basic repairs of equipment at customer sites.
7. Integrating mission-critical system components and performing system debugging.
8. Conducting factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
9. Interfacing with customers effectively.
10. Participating in remote system monitoring, maintenance, and Tier 2 on-call support as needed.
