Trane is seeking an ACES Controls Field Engineer to join our team supporting our commercial customers! You can be located anywhere in the Continental United States for this incredible role!

As an ACES Controls Field Engineer, you will be a senior team member of the Centralized Services ACES (Automation & Controls Expert Services) Team. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Traveling to and assisting Trane commercial and independent sales offices at all levels of building automation system design, programming, checkout, and commissioning, including validating hardware and software design activities for building automation systems.
2. Applying sound engineering principles and practices to assigned projects.
3. Collaborating daily with multiple project teams to assist Project Managers, Controls Project Specialists, and Field Technicians.
4. Assisting with the design, testing, and validation of new, existing, and legacy products and systems.

**Please note that this role will require 75% plus travel. Travel is typically within the United States but can include international travel.**

What you’ll be doing:

• Configuring, programming, and commissioning complex building automation systems requiring high attention to detail.
• Reviewing and maintaining installation and programming standards.
• Acquiring and maintaining expertise in Trane Controls products and third-party devices.
• Serving as a subject matter expert in Trane controls.
• Supporting field installations remotely.
• Advising and guiding Field Technicians, Engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction by collaborating to resolve issues.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC as a Controls Technician, Building Automation Specialist, or Controls Project Specialist is preferred.
• Proficiency in HVAC systems, building automation, and/or temperature controls.
• Experience in programming, commissioning, and startup of Trane control systems; familiarity with Automated Logic, Distech, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium/Niagara is a plus.
• A 2+ year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Building Automation, or related field is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with no major violations.
• Ability to travel 75% plus.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $120,000 yearly*
