Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking an Energy Marshal for data center projects in Austin, TX. This field-based role coordinates energization controls, approves EWPs, and ensures safe execution of live electrical work across mission critical environments.

You will work with project management, safety personnel, and clients to protect personnel and uptime, enforce NFPA 70E and site procedures, and maintain documentation for turn-ons and outages. Overtime and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in electrical construction, commissioning, startup, or operations.
• Extensive experience as Energy Marshal or Switching Authority.
• NFPA 70E certification or equivalent electrical safety training.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of control for energization and switching on projects.
• Review, approve, and coordinate EWPs, switching plans, and LOTO procedures.
• Enforce the LOTO program onsite; direct Deputies in safe execution of LOTO policies.
• Coordinate with the QACX Superintendent, General Contractor, client, and vendors requiring LOTO for proper documentation.
