Job summary

CEC Energy Services is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead energization and de-energization activities on mission critical and data center construction projects. This field-based role serves as the central authority for electrical energy control, coordinating EWPs, LOTO, and safety-focused execution with project management, safety personnel, and clients.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in electrical construction, commissioning, startup, or operations
• Extensive knowledge of electrical equipment and systems to initiate energization activities
• Experience as Energy Marshal, Switching Authority, or Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction
• NFPA 70E certification or equivalent electrical safety training
• Experience with IST and live environment construction
• Experience on mission critical and commercial electrical projects

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of control for energization and switching on projects
• Review and coordinate EWPs, switching plans, and LOTO procedures
• Enforce LOTO program onsite and supervise Deputy Energy Marshals
• Coordinate with GC, client, and vendors for proper documentation
• Maintain authority to approve, deny, or stop energization activities
• Lead energization planning meetings and pre-task briefings
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA and site procedures
• Investigate energy-related incidents and maintain logs
