Job summary

CEC is seeking an Energy Marshal to lead energization control on mission critical and data center construction projects. The role acts as the central authority for electrical energy, coordinating EWPs, LOTO, and safe energization in live environments to protect personnel, equipment, and uptime.

This field-based position collaborates with project management, safety teams, and client representatives to plan, document, and execute energization steps, maintain logs, and ensure NFPA 70E and NEC

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in electrical construction, commissioning, startup, or operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical equipment and systems.
• Extensive prior experience as Energy Marshal, Switching Authority, or Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction (site-level).
• NFPA 70E certification or equivalent electrical safety training.
• Experience supporting integrated systems testing (IST) in live environments.
• Background with mission critical and commercial electrical construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of control for energization, de-energization, and switching on assigned projects.
• Review, approve, and coordinate EWPs, switching plans, and LOTO procedures.
• Enforce LOTO program on site; direct Deputy Energy Marshals in safe execution of policies.
• Coordinate with QACX Superintendent, GC, client, and vendors requiring LOTO.
• Maintain authority to approve, deny, or stop work related to electrical energy.
• Lead energization planning meetings and pre-task briefings.
• Maintain logs of energization, outages, and approvals.
• Ensure adherence to NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and site energy procedures.
