Job summary

PEG, LLC is a diversified energy efficiency and management consulting firm serving the Eastern and Central United States. The role focuses on performing Home Energy Audits and gaining RESNET/HERS credentials through paid on-the-job training.

The position travels within a ~100-mile radius around Myrtle Beach, SC, conducting examinations, testing equipment, and documenting findings to improve energy performance in new residential construction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent vocational certificate.
• HERS Rater, Energy Star, Green Building, ACCA 310 HVAC Grading, IECC, HVAC EPA, BPI, LEED certifications are a plus.
• 2 years of work experience in HVAC, home remodeling, or construction is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform Home Energy Audits per RESNET/Energy Star Guidelines, including visual inspection of ductwork, insulation, framing, air sealing and ventilation.
• Conduct Blower Door and Duct Leakage testing with field equipment to meet industry standards.
• Develop relationships with builders and code officials through professional communication.
