Job summary

PEG, LLC is seeking motivated individuals to learn Energy Sustainability and Building Energy Performance for new residential construction. You will become a certified HERS Rater and receive paid on-the-job training to perform Home Energy Audits per RESNET Guidelines.

The role involves data collection, visual inspections of energy features, and testing system performance with specialized equipment. Daily site travel is required within the Savannah area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HERS Rater or related certifications are a plus.
• 2 years of HVAC, home remodeling, or construction experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform Home Energy Audits following RESNET/Energy Star guidelines.
• Collect data and visually inspect energy features (ducts, insulation, ventilation).
• Test system performance using blower door, ventilation, and duct leakage tests.
• Prepare electronic audit reports and document findings.
• Travel within a 100-mile radius around Savannah, GA as assigned.
