Job summary

Mercy Health System is seeking an EMS Field Supervisor responsible for direct patient care and supervision of EMTs/Paramedics in pre-hospital settings. The role includes operational decisions in absence of management and training duties to EMS staff.

Applicants must hold a Paramedic license, be at least 21, and have Hazmat awareness with ACLS at hire and PALS within 6 months. The position involves varied shifts in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Paramedic (EMT-P license for the state of practice, valid driver’s license)
• Experience: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
• Certifications/Registration: Hazmat awareness level training, ACLS at hire, PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer
• May be required to work shifting schedules and handle physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in EMS settings including assessment and life support.
• Supervise EMTs and Paramedics in daily operations and pre-hospital care.
• Instruct EMTs and Paramedics in inservice training and driving procedures.
