Job summary

Chugach Electric Association seeks an Electronics Technician II to support the operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of its telecommunications infrastructure, including microwave transport, fiber, RF networks, IP networking, and digital telephony. You will work with Dispatch, SCADA, Operations, and partner utilities to maintain critical communications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical college degree related to electronic maintenance or equivalent military training (30 weeks).
• Four-year IBEW telecommunications apprenticeship or substitution with EE degree and comms exp.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain microwave, RF, IP networks and related telecom systems.
• Support field operations and respond to outages to restore critical communications quickly.
• Contribute to system design, documentation, and vendor coordination.
• Mentor developing technicians and ensure safety practices in the field.
