Job summary

GCI Communication Corp is seeking a Field Service Technician I in Alaska to install, service, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment across video, data, and voice services at residential and commercial sites. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months to one year of telecommunications or field service experience preferred.
• Ability to read maps and install/repair video, data, and voice services.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment including video, data, and voice services from the demarc to the customer premises.
• Perform routine service and maintenance on RF/analog/microwave/fiber, and related components.
• Coordinate with customers on-site and present additional service offerings.
• Assist senior technicians and mentor junior staff as needed.
• Follow safety policies and drive safely in company vehicle.
