Job summary

The role in Charlotte, NC involves installation, programming, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying and metering systems for transmission and distribution operations. Candidates should have 2+ years of electrical experience, a high school diploma or higher, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical experience with a high school diploma OR associate/bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% - 75% of the time.
• Familiarity with protective relaying, metering and electrical test equipment preferred (NETA/NICET a plus).
• Strong MS Excel, Word, and reporting skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Programs, installs and maintains protective relaying and metering systems.
• Performs electrical tests and repairs to prevent and remedy abnormal relay behavior or equipment failure.
• Interprets schematics, wiring diagrams and substation drawings to locate defects.
• Compares test results and documents findings; coordinates testing and repairs with other departments.
