Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician to perform installation, inspection, and maintenance of wind turbines across the US. The role requires extensive travel, climbing towers, and a strong safety focus to ensure reliable operation and quick issue resolution.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair turbine components while adhering to safety policies and industry standards. A high school diploma and TWIC (or ability to obtain) are required or preferred wind-energy credentials.

Qualifications

• Require high school diploma or equivalent and ability to obtain TWIC.
• Technical wind-energy degree/certificate preferred; two years wind turbine experience preferred.
• Safety practices and protocols (LOTO, etc.) familiar.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Work in and around wind turbines; climb multiple wind towers daily.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers daily.
• Install, inspect, maintain, operate and repair wind turbines.
• Diagnose and fix issues that could shut down or impact operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance on wind turbines and test components.
