Job summary

AMP Quality Energy Services LLC is seeking a Field Technician Team Lead to provide technical leadership in inspecting, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electric power systems at customer sites. You will guide field crews, coordinate testing activities, and ensure project safety and quality while serving as a technical resource for technicians.

The role requires 5+ years of electrical testing experience, NETA certification, and ability to travel regionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years in electrical testing, commissioning, or maintenance of power distribution systems.
• NETA Level II–IV certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, utility, or data center environments.
• Experience leading field crews or supervising technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing procedures and standards (NETA, NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
• Strong communication skills with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally, with overnight travel as needed.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, or emergency service calls.

Responsibilities

• Lead field technician teams to complete projects safely, efficiently, and per scope.
• Coordinate testing activities and discuss progress with project leadership.
• Oversee testing of low/medium/high voltage equipment including switchgear and transformers.
• Provide technical guidance during testing and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry requirements (NETA, NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
• Develop and implement testing procedures; analyze data and prepare reports.
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
