Job summary

Plains is seeking a Junior E&I Technician to provide electrical and instrumentation support across field assets, including installation, calibration, maintenance and repair of equipment at tank farms, pump stations and facilities. You will work under supervision alongside Electricians and Instrumentation Specialists, performing planned and unplanned tasks in open outdoor environments.

The role requires reading electrical drawings and pipeline maps, familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, and protection

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical degree, apprenticeship, or two years of field experience preferred.
Ability to read electrical drawings, pipeline maps, and equipment manuals.
Experience with SCADA, PLCs, and protective devices is desirable.
Strong safety record and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled electrical/instrumentation tasks.
Inspect and maintain electrical equipment at substations, pump stations, and valve sites.
Install, calibrate, and repair electrical and SCADA devices.
Create service requests, source parts, and maintain service records.
Comply with safety, regulatory, and company policies.
