Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Forward Deployed Electrical Engineer to bring autonomous maritime systems from lab to fleet. You’ll deploy, integrate, and troubleshoot power, networking, sensors, and compute subsystems in field environments, balancing constraints and ensuring mission readiness.

This hands-on role spans lab, fabrication spaces, and waterfront operations, with opportunities to contribute to hardware design and deployment processes in dynamic maritime settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with integrated electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Hands-on expertise in electrical integration and system bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Design systems for electrical integration on autonomous vessels and platforms.
• Lead rapid electrical prototyping for field experiments and platform evolution.
• Perform system bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting of power, networking, sensors, and compute subsystems.
• Own dockside and sea trials, install electrical packages, and validate systems in real environments.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Software, and Autonomy Engineers to evolve designs.
• Interface with suppliers and fabrication shops for rapid component turnaround.
• Contribute to documentation and training to scale deployment and manufacturing.
