Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to bring autonomous software to real-world maritime missions. You will deploy, test, and optimize software on unmanned surface vessels, working with autonomy, sensors, and control systems in dynamic environments.

You'll analyze field data to improve performance, debug networking or sensor integration issues, and collaborate with operators to tailor capabilities to mission needs.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills with C++, Rust, Python or similar languages.
• Background in robotics, autonomy, or embedded systems; maritime/aerospace/defense experience preferred.
• Understanding of networking protocols and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine software for autonomy, networking, and mission execution in real-world maritime conditions.
• Deploy and test ASV software in the field, resolving autonomy, perception, and control issues.
• Analyze performance data from missions to drive software improvements and reliability.
