Job summary

Carvana is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety professional to join our EHS team and support strong health and safety programs as well as environmental compliance initiatives. The EHS Specialist will help manage compliance programs, guide corrective actions, and support ongoing environmental and health and safety needs across the organization.

This position will be assigned to a single Reconditioning Center or a cluster of sites based on business needs, with possible travel to

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience within Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record for select sites/locations.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with environmental health and safety topics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and managing information systems related to EHS recordkeeping and compliance.
• Support ongoing compliance with multimedia environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with outside consultants as needed.
• Monitor programs and performance to track compliance and effectiveness of EHS initiatives.
• Participate with Safety Action Teams across regions/sites.
• Interface with OSHA and environmental regulators on behalf of the company.
• Lead environmental due diligence efforts as needed.
• Provide ongoing support for regulatory questions across jurisdictions.
